They were always willing to cover Blue Rodeo and their many side projects... I am going to have to look for an alternative source for music news and reccomendations. There will still be an on-line presence - but man, I'm going to miss seeing that issue in my mailbox.

Yeah that's really unfortunate.  I heard the news from this girl I met through The Sadies.  She did a photo shoot with them for an article in No Depression.  She was sad to hear the news too.  No Depression is/was? a great magazine.  I thought the whole thing was over... but you say that an online version will still be available?  That's good at least!  Better than nothing I suppose.

Bad news indeed - just got around to buying a subscription last Christmas to be told by Dallas at a show last month that the magazine was winding up....I really liked the articles and found them well writte and balanced.  Last issue had a fabulous article on one of my favourite musicians, Malcolm Holcombe.

Yeah, I tried subscribing a few months ago and nothing happened so I guess it was being shut down at the time or at least in discussion so they didn't want any NEW subscribers to deal with. Too bad, cause I've heard so many GOOD things about it.
