Time to start my yearly Bluesfest thread!! This year's festival will be taking place at Lebreton Flats from July 3 thru 13. The *official* lineup hasn't been announced yet (it's being released on April 23), but I have a partial list of performers. So far, these are the artists who are supposed to be playing. If you know of anyone else, feel free to add them to this thread!

Wow... Steely Dan!!!  That is awesome... I LOVE them!!  They're my brother's favourite band.  I'll have to mention this to him.  I'm also pleased about James Taylor... looks like a good lineup so far!

This is kind of funny. I'm going to see Steely Dan and James Taylor - they're coming to the Montreal Jazz Festival!  In Ottawa, they call it Bluesfest! Whatever, eh?

Well, it's been a long standing "joke" that most of the headliners who play Bluesfest are nowhere near considered "blues" musicians. Like, Kid Rock back in 2006! Give me a break! LOL! It was a damn good show, though!!

I wouldn't exactly call James Taylor a "jazz" or "blues" artist either, but hey! Who cares? We're getting to see him and that's what counts, right?

I just got the Bluesfest Insider e-mail with a partial lineup. I must say, last year's lineup was slightly better.

Of the artists listed, I personally would love to see Feist, Brian Wilson, Great Big Sea, possibly the Hip, Corb Lund (Luke likes him, so he's probably worth a listen), Kathleen, and the Weakerthans. My dad might also want to see The Wailers. And look, Lori, Wintersleep's coming!!

Okay, here's the "Bank of America" stage (formerly the MBNA stage) lineup for this year. That's the only stage I've found times for thus far, but I'll keep sleuthing.

I must say, I am DEFINITELY going to try winning a festival pass. I'm not going to fill FERGIE's bankroll if I can help it.
