It was a great show in an awesome setting - for the most part. I grabbed a copy of the set list...
What am I Doing Here
Rain Down
Blue House
5 Days in May
Bulletproof
Venus Rising (set list says Black Ribbon)
C'mon
Photograph
Trust Yourself
Rose Coloured Glasses
Head Over Heels
Bad Timing
Diamond Mine
(This Town is on the list but I don't remember them playing it)
Heart Like Mine
Lost Together
Encore...
Hasn't Hit Me Yet
Try
Till I am Myself Again
I'm a bit sleepy, but I don't think that was the order they played the Encore songs in; could be wrong.
I didn't know the show would be outdoors and that I should bring along chairs. We ended up sitting on the ground. But that was OK. I knew I wouldn't be sitting when the show started. Boy was I mistaken. It was a sit-down crowd. I stood up as soon as the show started and danced along until security came along and told us to sit down or get out. I didn't want to leave, so we had to obey. This was during Venus Rising. I sat for a few songs, (it was VERY hard to stay sitting to Photograph) but I finally had to get up again for Head Over Heels. A few songs after that, the crowd rushed the stage and we ended up front and centre. There was a small scuffle, but that ended very quickly. The guys really rocked out the rest of the set list. I think that's why they skipped This Town. Afterwards, we ended up getting backstage to meet the band. I had a nice chat with Michael. He's still not an official member of the band, but he is recording with them. He said he's doing all Greg's songs and the keyboardist from Jim's band is doing Jim's songs. He said he's having a great time with the band. Chatted with Jim and Bazil and Glenn too. Jim commented again on how much he liked the venue. They are busy recording at Greg's place and should have a CD out this Fall. All in all it was a great show. The sound was pretty good and the weather co-operated nicely.
