Song Notes:

From everywhere to nowhere/from nowhere to here...

"I was out here at my farm, alone, for an extended period of time. I was in this very animistic world, everything had life. The stars and the moon were as real as Jim Cuddy, my songwriting partner. They were as conversant with me as Jim. I realized the heat had gone deep inside me; it had become my lover. Oh, then one night I woke up and a candle had fallen over, the room was full of smoke. There were tongues of fire everywhere, my mattress was burning, I was consumed in this fire. I realized that the fire had awoken me because she wanted to consummate her relationship with me. But she knew that if our spirits were to entwine it would kill my flesh, so she sacrificed herself, like a Shakespearean tragedy. To love me she would have to kill me, so she gave herself." - Greg Keelor

Lyrics

Last night I woke up in a flaming bed
a flaming bed
a flaming bed
I know that you can't be with me
until I start talking some kind of sense
but nothing makes sense to me now
can't find the thread no place to rest
and I don't know what normal means
still I grow tired of the same
your flame burns pure
that's what I fear
I see so much
you make me real
I see so much
from everywhere to nowhere
from nowhere to here
nowhere to here
nowhere to here
nowhere to here
to everywhere

Last night I woke up in a flaming bed
