Bob Egan

Blue Rodeo's multi-instrumentalist released his debut solo album in 2000. The album is a musical tapestry of the human condition presented with melodies that float above it all. His delivery has been compared to Steve Earle and the Jayhawks.

In 2002, the versatile Bob released his sophomore album, The Promise. The album consists of eleven essential love tunes written for someone on the other side of the world, to the weighty topics of birth, death, suicides and meanderings of a homeless man.

Bob Egan's solo shows have become a must see for fans and music lovers alike - "He is the most talented multi instrumentalist I have ever seen live, and if you haven't experienced a Bob show, do so. You won't be disappointed."

  1. Bob Egan plays lap steel guitar, pedal steel guitar and slide guitar with Blue Rodeo.
  2. He played with One Degree artist Wilco before joining Blue Rodeo.
  3. Bob plays guitar for the Jim Cuddy Band live shows, replacing Colin Cripps, who now plays full time with Kathleen Edwards, another One Degree of Blue Rodeo artist.
  4. His talent can also be heard on Oh Susanna's "Johnstown" and The Sadies "Tremendous Efforts" to name a few.
  5. Greg Keelor and Bob himself produced his sophomore album The Promise.
  6. guest appearances on The Promise include artists Travis Good, The Be Good Tanyas and Bazil Donovan.
