The Sadies

The Toronto-based outfit the Sadies have been heralded one of the most unique groups in Canadian music. Although most commonly defined as "country rockers" the Sadies blur the boundaries between rock, country, surf, alternative, blue grass and psychedelia.

The Sadies have earned a reputation for their captivating live shows and being a hard working band that loves to play any where with anyone. They have recorded albums with Neko Case, Andre Williams and Jon Langford. The Sadies have also collaborated with Blue Rodeo, Garth Hudson of The Band, The Good Brothers (Dallas & Travis' father and uncles), Heavy Trash and many more.

Their first album, Precious Moments, was released in 1998. In 2002, The Sadies released the album Stories Often Told that was recorded at Blue Rodeo's Woodshed Studio, and produced by Greg Keelor.

August of 2006 saw the release of the Sadies much heralded In Concert Volume 1. The double disc captures the essence of the Sadies doing what they do best, playing before an audience. It also showcases their collaborative efforts with their friends and notable peers. It has been described as a "star-studded extravaganza" akin to the Band's legendary Last Waltz.

The Sadies are the brothers Good, Dallas and Travis playing guitar, drummer Mike Belitsky and bassist Sean Dean.
