Blue Rodeo covers The Band!

Blue Rodeo will be covering the classic song, “King Harvest” and are also the featured on “Sleeping” with Bruce Cockburn.

Produced by Garth Hudson and Peter J. Moore, this album features an all star cast of Canadian talent, celebrating this legendary band.

Star Portraits: Featuring Jim Cuddy

Set your dials to Bravo! on Saturday, November 13 at 8 pm PST to catch Jim Cuddy on Star Portraits.

The premise of the show involves three competing portrait artists sketching a surprise celebrity guest. The portrait artists who will be drawing Jim on this episode are Gwendolyn Healy, Paul Wyse and Stev’nn Hall.

CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF THE JUNO AWARDS

With the JUNO Awards heading back to Toronto in 2011, he International Festival of Authors (IFOA) will be honouring Canadian music and its talent with the launch of Music from Far and Wide: Celebrating 40 Years of the JUNO Awards. Featuring co-authors Karen Bliss, Nick Krewen and Jason Schneider, with special guests Jim Cuddy, Dan Hill, and Emm Gryner.

This event takes place October 23 at 9pm at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre (207 & 235 Queens Quay West), and will be moderated and hosted by the CBC’s Jian Ghomeshi. Tickets to most JUNO events are $18/$15 members and free for students and youth under the age of 24 (subject to availability). Some exceptions apply; please refer to individual event listings.
