The band will be playing the Trentwinds International Centre on Wednesday, December 13 in a special concert organized by 101.5FM. Bob Egan will be releasing his new solo album The Glorious Decline later this month. To celebrate this big event, BlueRodeo.com will be publishing a series of journal entries written by Bob. The first, about the making of the record, can be read here.

Jim Cuddy will be releasing a new solo album, entitled The Light That Guides You Home, on September 12. BlueRodeo.com will be having a pre-sale in August for this album. Bob Egan’s solo album, The Glorious Decline, will be in stores on August 29. In the coming weeks, we will be posting journal entries by Bob detailing the making of his new album. Bob will also soon be launching a new version of his website.

And finally, The Sadies will be releasing a double live CD on August 8. It features The Sadies performing along side such great acts as Neko Case, Jon Spencer and of course Blue Rodeo. This album will soon be on sale in the new and improved BlueRodeo.com Store.

If you missed Blue Rodeo’s interview on BBC 2’s Bob Harris Show when it first aired back in May, you have another chance to catch it. It will air on July 27 at 7pm UK time. But don’t think that you have to be in Britain in order to hear it. BBC 2 broadcasts all of its programming live over the Internet meaning that Blue Rodeo fans from all across the world will be able to hear the band’s interview.

On July 4, Jim Cuddy will take part in the Montreal Jazz Festival’s tribute to Paul Simon. Jim will do a duet with Kevin Parent, perform a solo and take part in the big final.

Other performs include Elvis Costello, Jesse Cook and Colin James. And all, like Jim, will be performing Paul Simon songs.

This is a free show and gets under way at 9:30pm at the Scène General Motores.
