Stratford Show Postponed

March 27, 2013

Due to issues arising with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Blue Rodeo’s March 28 show at Stratford’s Rotary Complex has been postponed.

“We are very unhappy about disrupting our show in Stratford, a community where we have always respected our audiences,” says Jim Cuddy. “Unfortunately, because of the liquor commission, it is unavoidable in this case. We will work toward finding a new date and look forward to playing in Stratford and seeing you all soon.”

Ticket holders, please hold onto your previously issued ticket(s) as they will be valid at the rescheduled show. If you are unable to attend the new date, you will be eligible for a refund. Information on this process will be announced once the new date has been confirmed.

Toronto Gets A (Blue) Rodeo Drive

January 22, 2013

Amazing news out of Blue Rodeo’s home town of Toronto today. The Toronto Star reports that the band, who have a deep history in the east-end neighbourhood of Riverdale, will be honoured with their very own street! The new Blue Rodeo Drive will run along the eastern side of the new Bridgepoint Hospital, at Gerrard Street and Broadview Avenue.

Councillor Paula Fletcher (Ward 30, Toronto-Danforth) told Blue Rodeo is “a band that connects a lot of people through their great music, and the street will connect a lot of people as they go through the newly revitalized site. Sometimes we don’t pay enough homage to our musicians, and it’s great to thank them for their tremendous music.”

Construction on the street is still at least a year away, but once it’s done, Blue Rodeo Drive is sure to be a Toronto destination point for Blue Rodeo fans the world over.
