Blue Rodeo Announces 2013 Tour; Presales Start Tomorrow!

To celebrate 25 years since the release of Outskirts, Blue Rodeo is hitting the road, like true Canadians, in January and February of 2013. The tour will kick off in Vancouver on January 5, and makes its way to another 24 cities across the country. For a look at the complete list of shows, please visit the Tour page now.

Heads up! To celebrate the release of their new box set, Blue Rodeo: 1987 – 1993, the guys will perform live on CTV’s Canada AM this upcoming Wednesday, October 24.

If you live in the Toronto area and would like to attend the show, you’re in luck! The folks at Canada AM have 20 pairs of tickets to give away.

On October 29 Blue Rodeo will perform a special Silver Anniversary Concert with friends old and new at the Glenn Gould Theatre in Toronto. CBC will record the show, and it will be aired on the radio and online in the near future. Stay tuned for more news!

We can’t reveal who the special guests will be just yet, but you can find out firsthand by winning one of 10 pairs of tickets that we’re giving away to the taping. New Video: Maestro’s “Reach For The Sky”

Canadian hip hop legend Maestro has just released a new video for his song “Reach For The Sky”. Featuring fellow Canadian (and previous Jim collaborator) Classified, the song is built around a sample of Blue Rodeo’s classic “Try”, and features cameos from a host of Canadian musicians, including Jim!

Watch a never-before-seen performance of “Rose Coloured Glasses”

To celebrate the release of the Blue Rodeo: 1987 – 1993 box set, we’ve dug up this performance of “Rose Coloured Glasses” live from The Horseshoe in Toronto, ON. The footage was shot in 1989 and features a young Blue Rodeo in a never-before-seen rendition of the Outskirts stand-out.
