Heads up! To celebrate the release of their new box set, Blue Rodeo: 1987 – 1993, the guys will perform live on CTV’s Canada AM this upcoming Wednesday, October 24.

On October 29 Blue Rodeo will perform a special Silver Anniversary Concert with friends old and new at the Glenn Gould Theatre in Toronto. CBC will record the show, and it will be aired on the radio and online in the near future. Stay tuned for more news!

Featuring fellow Canadian (and previous Jim collaborator) Classified, the song is built around a sample of Blue Rodeo’s classic “Try”, and features cameos from a host of Canadian musicians, including Jim!

Watch a never-before-seen performance of “Rose Coloured Glasses”

To celebrate the release of the Blue Rodeo: 1987 – 1993 box set, we’ve dug up this performance of “Rose Coloured Glasses” live from The Horseshoe in Toronto, ON. The footage was shot in 1989 and features a young Blue Rodeo in a never-before-seen rendition of the Outskirts stand-out.

Blue Rodeo In Spain This Fall

Blue Rodeo have just confirmed a series of eight dates in Spain this upcoming November. Beginning on November 6 in Madrid, the band will visit Sevilla, Valencia, Barcelona, Vitoria, Gijon, Marlloca and San Sebastian.

On October 16, Blue Rodeo will release Blue Rodeo: 1987–1993. The project, which has been two years in the making, celebrates the landmark of their 25-year recording career and is available for pre-order now from the BlueRodeo.com Store.

Blue Rodeo: 1987–1993 contains a treasure trove of material for fans including remastered versions of the band’s first five studio albums, unreleased music such as demos for Casino, studio outtakes and a completely remixed version of Outskirts, done by Greg himself.

The set also includes a 44-page booklet with rare photos and an essay written by Jason Schneider in which the band talks extensively about the early days, their reaction to their success and how they turned down an opportunity to work with the Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick.
